ONION BREAD

Sestavine:

  • 1 kg krušne moke
  • voda
  • 5 dag kvasa
  • sladkor
  • 1 kos Ptujskega lϋk-a
  • sol

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 kg bread flour
  • water
  • 5 dkg yeast
  • sugar
  • 1 onion
  • salt

 

METHOD:

Sift the flour into a bowl, make a hole in the centre, and add the combined lukewarm water, teaspoon of sugar, and yeast. Leave for a few minutes to allow the yeast to work. Thinly slice the onions, sauté until tender, and wring. Add some lukewarm water and a spoon of salt to the flour, then knead the dough. When the dough stops sticking to your hands, add the sautéed onions. Knead well, shape the loaf, and let it proof for half an hour. Bake in an oven preheated to 200 °C for 45 minutes.
